Handtool Program

The Division of Forestry will supply cooperating fire departments with a compliment of wildland firefighting handtools. This would include 6-council fire rakes, 2-collapsible broom rakes, 4-fire swatters, 2-backpack pumps, and 2-shovels. The estimated value of these tools is $800.00. In order for a department to qualify they must sign a cooperative mutual aid agreement. Departments can only receive a compliment of tools once every 10 years. We attempt to purchase handtools once per biennium. To apply for the Handtool program use the check box on page two of the Volunteer Fire Assistance application.
